Community Centre Temporary Closure
Please note that due to essential renovation work the whole of the Community Centre building will be inaccessible until June 2025 at the earliest. However, the PTC offices — in the Resource Centre below the car park — will be open as usual during this time.

Whams Road, Hazelhead — Road Closure.
Whams Rd, Hazelhead will be closed from Flouch roundabout to Old Manchester Rd roundabout, from 27th March 2023 for approximately two nights

Towngate, Thurlstone – Temporary Closure
An order will be made to close Towngate from outside The Crystal Palace to Manchester Road, from 3rd April 2023 for approximately 2 days.
Millhouse Speed Restrictions, April 2013
Speed restrictions will be in place on Manchester Road for around 3 days from 17th April 2023.
Hartcliff Rd/Hartcliff Hill Rd/Mossley Rd Closures
An order will be made to close the roads from 17 April 2023 for approximately six weeks.
Penistone Arts Week, 4th—26th March 2023
Penistone Arts Week is the arts festival for the community, by the community.
Closure of Public Toilets
Toilets in Market Place are currently closed, awaiting repairs.
Photo ID now needed in order to vote
Residents will need to show photo ID to vote at this year’s local elections and are being urged to make sure they are ready to vote in May by checking they have an accepted form of ID.

Wellhouse Lane Road Closure, from 23rd Jan
An order will be made to close Wellhouse Lane from the junction of Barnsley Road to Wellhouse Way, from 23 January 2023 for approximately 8 weeks in phases.
Bluebell Avenue – Road Closure, 6th Feb 2023
An order will be made to close Bluebell Avenue, from Chapelfield Lane to Schole Ave, from 6 Feb 2023 for approx 5 days.
