Important pandemic info, 22nd Oct, 2020.

You will have no doubt heard by now that South Yorkshire is to move into the Very High category under the government’s new Coronavirus (COVID-19) tier system. The restrictions will come into force from 00:01 on Saturday 24 October and cover all four local authority areas in South Yorkshire – Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.

Although these additional restrictions come as no surprise, it’s difficult to see our area in such a severe situation.

We understand the impact this virus is having on people’s daily lives and on jobs and businesses, but  unfortunately due to these changes it means that we have had to cancel a number of our community group classes.

The Town Council offices will currently remain open on revised opening hours 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday to Friday to limit the exposure to office staff (this maybe revised at short notice).

We will continue to publish updates on our website and on social media.  This is an anxious time for all residents and staff and we ask for your forbearance over the next few months.

Thank you for your patience and stay safe.
