Dear Friends of St John’s Community Centre,
I trust you will be pleased to learn that the renovation work at St John’s Community Centre is finally drawing to its conclusion. As is usual with building projects in old buildings, we have faced delays, setbacks and unexpected issues along the way; but we are now looking forward to welcoming clients and members of the public back to the Centre. We hope you will be as pleased with the new look of the building as we are.
The Centre will open again on Monday 14th July 2025.
As promised, we will be holding an open evening event which will give everyone chance to see the renovated building, as well as hearing from the Councillors about the project and the work it has taken to get to the point where we are now. The open evening will be held in the Main (Upper) Hall of St John’s Community Centre from 7pm – 8.30pm on Thursday 10th July 2025. with the serving of tea, coffee and light refreshments (sandwiches and snacks). Guests will be free to look around the building and raise any queries they may have with Councillors and Council Officers.
As we will be providing refreshments please let us know if you are planning to attend so we have some idea of numbers. If you are from a large organisation please limit the number of people who will be attending to 2.
