Come and join us for our first Heritage Open Day on Saturday 14th September 2024.
We’ll be open all day long for everyone to have a wander in and see the place as it looks in the daytime, have a chat to our fantastic staff, and learn more about us and our 110 year history.
We’ll have have lots of great activities going on for kids and adults alike, as well as being open for refreshments throughout the day.
In addition to the Open Day, we’ll be hosting tours around our building to all the behind the scenes areas, where you can learn all about our building and how it became to be what it is. There may be a few ghost stories thrown in there too!
Tickets for the Paramount Tours are available via the website below, and are in forty minute slots. Please be aware that due to area size, we are only able to take eight people per group for these tours, so book now to avoid disappointment! Please also note that there are tight spaces and around 45 steps involved in these tours.
Open Building and Backstage Tours
• Learn about the history of this 110-year-old community venue and plans for the future.
• The Auditorium will be open, as will the bar and kiosk.
• The 1937 Compton Paramount Cinema organ will be on display, with on-screen information about the history of cinema and the building.
• Film poster lucky dip, colouring sheets forkids and quizzes for adults.
The backstage tours are free but must be prebooked as spaces are limited. Spaces can be booked online or via the box office.
