Cycling through Yorkshire

Barnsley is hosting the finish leg of stage three of British Cycling’s Tour of Britain men’s race on Thursday, 5 September 2024.

Stage three  will head from Sheffield to Barnsley, via Rotherham and Doncaster, taking in some of South Yorkshire’s most famous, and hardest climbs, to provide a real test for the world’s top riders.

To help deliver the race, there will be a large number of rolling road closures on the day, which will temporarily restrict vehicle access to some areas of Penistone, Oxspring, and Thurgoland (in that order) on Thursday, 5 September. There will also be some suspension of all on-street parking on certain roads. See the link below for more info.
