Major roofing works are planned to begin on Monday 5th August at Penistone Town Hall as part of Barnsley Council’s Principal Towns and Local Centres Programme.
There will be temporary effects on the adjacent car park from Thursday 1st August, including reduced capacity and the suspension of the usual one-way access system. This is to accommodate the site compound for the roof works and a smaller compound relating to separate internal maintenance works.
The works, which are programmed to be completed by the end of the year, will help to future-proof this much-loved and historic building.
