At a community meeting held at St John’s Community Centre on the 15th March, a number of community organisations agreed and advised of the events that they have planned for the Jubilee celebrations.
These are not Town Council events as we are acting as a community liaison to work together to ensure that members of the public are advised of any activities that are planned for this weekend. There also maybe the possibility of additional events planned with subject to change.
If you have the time, please do come along to some of the events and partake in the celebrations.

THURSDAY 2ND JUNE
PTC Lighting the beacon on Royd Moor
Thurgoland afternoon Tea Party on the field opposite school from 2pm – ticket affair limited to 100
Travellers – Breakfast Parade – Jazz afternoon , Band in the evening and Beacon Lighting at 21:15
Community event and beacon lighting. Penistone Agricultural Showground. Further details and times to be announced.
FRIDAY 3RD JUNE
Travellers – Queens Windsor Music Day ( 12-20:00 )
SATURDAY 4TH JUNE
Penistone Town Council Queens Jubilee concert at the Paramount
10 am-4pm Oxspring Council – 70th anniversary community event Football Field

Thurlstone Playing Field – Saturday Afternoon
Milhouse Green MVC concert St Saviours Church, Thurlstone 3pm – Penistone Junior Band invited
