Penistone Town Council would like to announce that the Community Centre is able to officially re-open from Monday 12th April 2021 for a limited number of activities. At the present time this is limited to children’s indoor activities and the Country Market that is held on Thursday 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Other activities are not yet permitted.

Subject to the road map set out by the government we are predicted to move into the next stage as from the 17th May 2021 where a number of restrictions may be lifted and more groups may return.

We are currently in the process of contacting groups to discuss their plans to return to St John’s Community Centre and are currently taking bookings for the future.

If you would like to enquire on the availability of the Community Centre, please call 01226 370088 or email admin@pentowncouncil.gov.uk.

The Town Council offices will currently be operated between the hours of 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to ensure staff’s safety and in conjunction with the governments guidance to working from home whenever possible.

Please kindly adhere to the rules when attending the Community Centre and the legislation that requires the use of masks within Community Centres, use of sanitiser and signing in when entering the building either via test and trace or by the signing in sheets. Anyone attending the building over the age of 16 must sign in and only one member of the public is allowed in attendance within the Town Council’s office in anyone time.

We look forward to welcoming you back shortly and appreciate your patience in this period.
