Remembrance Day Temporary Road Closures 10/11/2024
The following roads in Penistone will be closed between 10.00am – 12.00 noon: Back Lane, Church Street, High Street, Market Place, Market Street, Park Avenue, St Mary’s Street, Schole Avenue, Shrewsbury Road

Christmas Chalkathon — ‘Gonks for Good’
The Chalkathon is a fundraising initiative by local artist, Lucy Burns. Unique gonk designs will be painted on windows around Penistone. Each will be available for a donation with all proceeds going to Barnsley Hospice.

There is currently an ongoing discussion about the future of the bus services in the South Yorkshire area and the South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority is offering the public the chance to have its say.

Victoria Street from High Street to Vicarage Walk will be closed from 20 October 2024 for approximately one week.
