21st—24th November 2024, Penistone.
The Chalkathon is a festive fundraising initiative where local artist, Lucy Burns, will be drawing 24 unique gonk designs in chalk paint on windows around Penistone. Each design will be available for a donation of £24, with all proceeds going to Barnsley Hospice, a charity that provides essential care for people with life-limiting illnesses in our community.
The location must be in Penistone. The gonks will be up to 2ft in size and be adjusted to fit the windows. A small amount of customisation will be available (eg colours or other small adaptation).
The drawings will be completed between 21st – 24th November.
Once all 24 designs are chosen and completed, Lucy will be creating a Gonk Trail Map so that people can walk around town and enjoy the festive window displays while supporting a great cause.
