The application period for the vacancy of Town Clerk to Penistone Town Council has now expired and The Council will soon review all applications received with a view to compiling a shortlist of applicants for interview. We would like to thank all candidates for their expression of interest in the role.
All candidates will be informed in due course if their application will be taken forward to the next stage.
However, in view of the Covid-19 outbreak, we will not be interviewing until June 2020 at the earliest. This decision will be kept under constant review and any change notified.
Our current Town Clerk is now on gardening leave for family health reasons in light of the Covid-19 outbreak and, in his absence, Finance Officer Amanda Hart is Acting Town Clerk. All our contact details remain as per this website, although please bear in mind that Officers may be working from home in the short term.
We hope to return to normal working of our facilities in due course and thank you all for your patience in what is a very trying time for our community.
